Extension: Build progress part one

We're now just over one week into the project, having purchased timber for the project.

Construction has commenced, starting with the bare frame just like we did with the initial build.

The first board, for the rear fiddle yard, is constructed.

The cut-outs for the electrical connections still need to be added.

Frame number two in production.

Two more legs also required.

Leg sockets.

The front board coming together, here the brackets for the back scene are clamped into place.

These are then set aside to dry.

Job done!

Both boards were then primed, we'll need to source some more blue paint.

The old MDF back scene is starting to deteriorate, so a new one has been made from ply.

No back scene graphics this time, just paint.

Next job for the boards is to align them to the original boards and install the dowel pins. Then we can begin track laying.
